This attic bedroom, part of a full house staging project we did recently in Nokomis, is a perfect example of how a room can go from drab to fab with the thoughtful use of paint color, furniture and lighting. It was such a transformation that it caught the eye of editors at Mpls St Paul Magazine who named Stacy Sullivan Home as one of the Twin Cities’ top influencers in their 2015 Mpls St Paul Magazine’s Home and Design 100 list. Why Stage Your Home?

It’s simple. Making a good first – and lasting – impression with potential home buyers is critical in selling your home quickly and for the price you want. Staging not only helps your home look pretty in pictures, it allows people to visualize the space with furniture, art and lighting and to imagine themselves making your home their home.

Our Staging Philosophy

At Stacy Sullivan Home we do all of our own staging and we only stage homes that we list. We have a warehouse full of diverse and beautiful furniture and accessories to fit any style of home and any scale of staging job from the addition of table lamps and pillows through to a top-to-bottom stage. Staging is more than de-cluttering and a quick sprucing up. We use our expertise and deep knowledge of what appeals to a wide range of people to show a home to it’s full potential; creating inviting living spaces that make sense to today’s home buyers. No fake dinner settings; just real, beautiful homes.

We worked with the owner of this beautiful Nokomis Tudor to emphasize the home’s character, pretty woodwork and untapped spaces. Starting with an empty house, we painted the interior with fresh, light greys and replaced all light fixtures. We then brought in furniture to stage every corner of the home, inside and out, from a twin bedroom/office suite in the attic to a cozy family room in the basement and a stunning deck with two large entertaining spaces.

The result? A welcoming, bright and airy home that sold in days under multiple offers.

Tudor Transformation: Top to Bottom Nokomis Home Makeover; Sells in Days

The owners of this pretty Tudor in South Minneapolis hired us in the middle of winter – definitely not the best time of year to sell a home in Minnesota! They had tried to sell the previous summer, with no sale after more than three months on the market, and had since moved out of state. We came in and transformed the home from top to bottom. The makeover included painting the interior with soft, neutral greys and adding new light fixtures and classic furniture to create an elegant, cohesive look throughout the home.

The result? A home so inviting it received multiple offers and sold in less than a week.

We were brought in to stage and sell this delightful Dutch Colonial in SW Minneapolis after it spent most of the spring on the market with no serious interest. We painted all rooms, careful to choose a light color palette that brightened the home while complementing the warmth of the original built-ins and natural woodwork. We updated most light fixtures and, since the homeowner had already moved out, furnished the entire house too. Our goal was to create a welcoming home by selecting stylish, comfortable pieces including a large couch in the sunroom off the kitchen and a full outdoor lounge set on the bedroom-level deck.

The result? A light, comfortable home filled with character that sold within a week.

Character Shines Through in this Dutch Colonial Refresh.

This was a whirlwind staging job! With three small kids, a busy schedule and a very aggressive deadline to sell before moving out of state, these homeowners only had one day available for us to stage their lovely Linden Hills Dutch Colonial. We got to work and painted the main living spaces in a light grey to show off the existing white brick fireplace and woodwork. Next we brought in a new dining room set and worked with existing furniture in the rest of the home. We switched out key light fixtures and brought in art, rugs, pillows, lamps and bedding to freshen up the space and create a casual, coastal look.

The result? An HGTV-worthy whirlwind makeover that thrilled the homeowners and sold within days
